R4R Fall 2026 Fly-Fishing Tournament

September 24-27, 2026
in Almont, Colorado

Our fall event is on the calendar! We only accept a limited number of people, and the Risers 4 Rett events usually sell out fast, so don’t wait too long to register.

Beautiful scenery, gold medal water, fabulous friendship, and memories that will last for years

The event includes the following:

  • 3 nights, comfortable, local lodging with personal shuttle service as needed

  • Delicious food & drinks: breakfast, lunch and dinner, including beverages - our basecamp will be The Almont Resort.

  • Access to world-class private waters and Gold Medal waters: These waters offer top-tier angling opportunities and are dedicated under strict guidelines by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

  • 2 Days of professional guided fly fishing

  • Fabulous awards for winners

  • A collection of weekend-ready gear and accessories to carry you through the weekend and beyond

Location

Almont, Colorado, is where the East River and the Taylor River meet to form the mighty Gunnison! The beauty here is unsurpassed…no wonder it’s one of Colorado’s premier fishing spots!

Located just outside Gunnison, Colorado, our event is one to remember—fundraising has never been so beautiful and relaxing. Thanks to our fly fishing partners, we can access top-notch guides and breathtaking views of trout-rich waters!

Preliminary schedule

Three days of camaraderie, fishing, food, drinks and fun - all for a great cause!

Thursday: Check in at the registration, grab your swag, drop your gear in your room, then join us at 6:00 p.m. for cocktails, a fabulous dinner, and live music to kick off the weekend.

Friday: Fishing begins Friday morning. Each team is paired with a professional guide and will spend one day wade fishing and one day floating on the Gunnison, East, and Taylor Rivers - legendary water, expert instruction, and plenty of action.

Friday night features dinner and drinks (included), a Rett Clinic presentation and update, a silent and live auction with a professional auctioneer, and live entertainment to round out the evening.

Saturday: Your second day on the river continues with guided fishing across these world-class waters. Saturday night wraps with dinner, drinks, and the awards ceremony - featuring custom-made trophies and high-end fishing gear for the top teams - followed by live music to close out the weekend in style.

Sunday: Pack up, swap stories, fist bump your buddies (new and old), and head home.

Fee

The entrance fee is $1900/person or $3800/team of two people.

Can't Make It?

You Can Still Make a Difference
Not every supporter can join us streamside, and that's okay. If the fall event isn't in the cards for you this year, please consider donating to help send a Rett family to the event in your place. Your gift covers their stay, their gear, and a few unforgettable days on the water — a real lift for families who carry so much. The donation link will be added here soon.

We’re looking forward to another incredible weekend of fishing, community, and support for Rett Syndrome research and advocacy.

The Rett Clinic was a well-oiled machine, where doctors, therapists, nutritionists, social workers and nurses gave suggestions on how to improve Tatum’s quality of life.
