Celebrating the Success of Our 2025 Fall Risers4Rett Event
This fall, the Risers4Rett community came together in a special way at the Fall Risers4Rett Tournament in Almont, CO. We enjoyed postcard‑perfect autumn weather—warm sunshine and golden leaves drifting in the breeze—but the true highlight was the camaraderie and spirited competition, a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we unite around a cause close to our hearts.
A Weekend to Remember
The rivers were busy with rafts, casts, and catches, but what stood out most was the sense of community. Participants shared stories, built connections, and reminded us why this event matters: supporting families affected by Rett Syndrome. Guides, anglers, sponsors, and volunteers all played a role in creating an atmosphere of joy, connection, and purpose.
The weekend also featured an exciting and successful auction filled with fabulous fishing gear, bucket‑list trips, rare spirits and beautiful works of art ~~ adding even more energy and impact to the event.
One of the most meaningful moments came when Ben Tinsley shared his experience as a Rett dad. His heartfelt words brought the mission into sharp focus, reminding everyone that behind the fishing, the bidding, and the celebration are families navigating the daily realities of Rett Syndrome. His story underscored why we gather each year—to ensure children and families have the care, resources, and hope they deserve.
Impact Beyond the Water
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, this year’s event raised record‑breaking funds to support the Rett Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado. These dollars directly fuel critical resources like the nurse coordinator position, ensuring families receive consistent, comprehensive care.
Every cast, every bid in the auction, and every shared meal contributed to something bigger: the promise of brighter days for children and families living with Rett Syndrome.
